FAQs

While there are many qualified remodelers in Bryan and College Station, what sets us apart is our process and hands-on involvement. We guide you through a clearly defined system— the Cook & Sons Experience—from the first phone call through project completion and a follow-up 11 months after your remodel is finished.

Every project is based on a written, fixed-price proposal so you know your total investment upfront. Changes only occur if additional work is requested or unforeseen conditions are discovered. Before construction begins, you receive a detailed written schedule.

Nathanael, the owner, personally serves as your project manager and makes regular site visits to ensure your project is executed as planned.

The C&S Experience is our structured, client-focused approach to remodeling. It is built on clear communication, attention to detail, and a well-managed process from start to finish.

We believe remodeling should feel organized and predictable—surprises are great for holidays, not for your home renovation.

Yes, we offer design/build services and are continuing to expand our in-house design capabilities. When needed, we also collaborate with a local interior designer to better serve your project.

Our process begins with design and planning—developing concepts, layouts, and selections that align with your lifestyle. Once the design is finalized, we move into construction, managing your project from start to finish through a single, streamlined process.

Getting started is simple. It begins with a phone consultation where we discuss your vision, needs, and goals, and then guide you through the next steps.

As a boutique remodeling firm, Nathanael personally handles all calls. If he is meeting with a client, you may reach voicemail, but he will return your call.

Project timelines vary based on scope and complexity. From the first day in your home to completion, most kitchen remodels take 3 to 8 weeks, while bathrooms typically take 4 to 8 weeks.

Before work begins, we provide a written schedule based on your specific project so you know what to expect throughout the process.

We encourage strong involvement during the design phase so we can fully understand your vision and goals.

Once construction begins, we manage the day-to-day work while keeping you informed and involved in key decisions along the way.

Our primary focus is kitchens and bathrooms, allowing us to deliver a higher level of expertise and attention to detail in these spaces.

That said, we also offer other interior remodeling services with the same level of care. From laundry rooms to mudrooms and beyond, we’d be happy to help you remodel them to fit your lifestyle and taste.

Yes, we handle all necessary permits and coordinate inspections to ensure your project meets local building codes and requirements.

Typically, we do not work with client-supplied materials unless we need to match something specific in your home that you already have on hand—tile, for instance. During the design process, we help you select all materials and finishes, and we source them directly.

This approach allows us to control quality, ensure proper installation, and fully stand behind our warranty.

Yes, every project includes a 1-year workmanship warranty. This reflects our commitment to quality, detail, and long-lasting craftsmanship.

Yes, in most cases you can remain in your home during construction—especially for kitchen and bathroom remodels.

For larger projects, we carefully plan and phase the work to minimize disruption and keep your home as comfortable and functional as possible throughout the build.

Our focus is on full remodel projects. However, if we are already remodeling your home, we are happy to take care of related small items that come up during the project.
